Meet The Chef
A native San Diegan, Rhoelle began her culinary journey at the Art Institute of San Diego and then trained under extremely talented Italian and French chefs. Now she’s using her talents and experience to use fresh, local produce and farm driven, seasonal cuisine at Dolce at the Highlands.

I was greeted and seated right away by Mohini LOVE that name!), and she offered a taste of one of the Chardonnay’s since I wasn’t familiar with it; it was excellent(Laird Red Hen)!Then she listed the specials and gave me a moment to look over the menu while she got my wine. I decided on the garlic chicken wings special; so flavorful and perfectly cooked with a healthy amount of chopped garlic. Then I had the Bianca pizza, with mozzarella and fresh ricotta cheeses, and I substituted spinach for the arugula–sooo good!
I have only been for happy hour but I must say they have a great wine selection as well as a full bar. Very nice atmosphere and outside seating area and their Truffle Potato Pizza is to die for…absolutely delicious. I want to go back and try everything on the menu. The service the few times I have been there has always been on point which is a plus since Westroot’s services isn’t the greatest. Also, Dolce is a much quiter environment at least the times I have gone so you don’t have to yell when you are talking to your friends. The decor is nice and stylish and very tastefully done.
We came into Dolce for dinner and can’t wait to come back. The staff was very accommodating specifically Zach, the bartender, who will pair the perfect drink with your meal. Highly recommend the filet mignon and the fresh burrata salad.
Amazing restaurant. The ravioli and the lamb are the best in class bar none. Staff is very friendly. Scallops today were exception. Beautiful ambiance and area.
